Wind, waves, sun and moon determine the type of beach the sea builds.
Waves sink quickly into coarse coastal sand. The loose sand piles easily and constantly moves creating a steep beach.
It takes more muscle to walk where we aren’t easily supported.
Fine sand packs more tightly. Waves don’t absorb easily, instead they create a smooth, hard and gently sloping beach. Walking is a pleasure.
I wonder about the texture of relationships in general. Are they fine or coarse?
Fine suggests respect, integrity, honesty and love.
Sometimes life storms will roar. It does take a spirited dance to remain firm, constant and particularly fine.
