Postcard #15 … celebrating self and place

We can’t get past basic neutrals in room decorating, and why should

we? They are the fundamental colours of nature, firmly grounding

our decorative senses to become background or in this case, foreground.

Imagine a room with textural or patterned theming comprised only of neutrals and

without a sense of controlled management.

Any three of these basics: cream, beige, white, caramel, cinnamon, brown,

black or tones of grey can be placed together harmoniously.

The key to an imaginative and sophisticated flow is to somewhere have

a different texture, or a basic colour on colour pattern, or intricate detailing.

Now you’re advancing your skills.
