River communication is less confronting than last week’s mountain metaphor behaviour message. We need both styles. Picking the right occasion is the skill.
A river wends its way in and out of landscape. It’s the wending that provides the charm.
When we are river we smile easily, think intuitively and relate well. Good eye contact is key. Innate and attractive confidence and enthusiasm give a clear thinking, yet assertive presence.
A river flows along a series of diverging and converging channels. It’s what makes co-operation possible.
Beware! Rivers can go off on rivulet, waterfall or babbling brook journeys.
Come back to the deep river flow.
Next week: the pitfalls of being extreme mountain or river.
