‘Am I the person I’ve been waiting for?’
Part 2, self. I think it’s time for some shoulder-sitting friends.
Celebrating self is an appreciation of the worthy self, the self who puzzles over circumstance, behaviour and the way forward.
Invisible, shoulder-sitting friends suit these occasions. They murmur memos of wisdom into minds and hearts. They’re keen to be part of us if only we will let them.
They always state universal truths from a high-minded place and wider world.
I love them/hate them depending on the circumstances. Deep down I know they speak pure truth.
My favourites: Honour, Love, Grace, Courage, Simplicity.
